Southampton coach, Ralph Hasenhuttl is irritated at the press consistent questions on Danny Ings' speculated transfer.

According to him, the former Liverpool player has no interest in leaving Saint Mary’s anytime soon.

Ings joined Premier League club Southampton in 2018 on an initial loan until the end of the season, which became permanent in 2019 for a reported fee of £18 million, plus a possible further £2 million based on appearances.

The forward last season impressed in the Premier League for Southampton and bagged 25 goals last season.

Jose Mourinho’s side has made inquiries about the player and submitted a bid to lure the striker away from Hasenhuttl’s side yet Ings is not curious to leave the Saints and remains focused on their Premier League game against Spurs on Sunday.

"The only thing I want to say for these rumors is that there's absolutely zero interest from Danny to go anywhere,” he said in a pre-match.

"He is 100 percent happy to be here and, for us, it's 100 percent not discussable that we (allow to) leave one of the best strikers in Europe.

"Any rumors about that are absolute nonsense and hopefully this is the last time we speak about this."

Southampton lost their first league game by a goal to nil at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace and will be looking forward to redeeming themselves against Jose Mourinho’s side who were also beaten by Everton at home.
