Anti-LBGTQ Taskforce formed in Upper West Region to fight Canker
Mr Jinpehi Kadiri, the secretary to the overload of the Waala Traditional in the Upper West Region has warned that the punishment for anyone caught in the activities will be swift and severe.

Wa-Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, the overload of the Waala Traditional in the Upper West Region area has banned any activities that are believed to be associated with LBGTQ+ in the area.
On behalf of the overload at a press conference, his Secretary, Mr Jinpehi Kadiri Ibrahim revealed that some youth in the area are into the activities of the LBGTQ.
He registered the overlord displeasure over the happenings, stating that the activities are totally banned in the Upper West Region henceforth.
He noted that the activities are alien to the culture and beliefs of the Traditional Area.
According to him, those happenings is steadily deforming the good image of the area, adding that the area is known to be very religious.
He said an anti-LBGTQ+ Taskforce with members drawn from all sections in the area have been constituted to fight the rising canker.
Mr Jinpehi Kadiri warned that the punishment for anyone caught in the activities will be swift and severe.
He called on the clergy and opinion leader's in the area to preach against the activities.
He said it was shocking to stakeholders and chiefs when it was reported about the LBGTQ+ activities in the area.
