Anglogold Ashanti supports farmers day celebration.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Bekwai district, the Agric director, Mr. Emmanuel Mensah thanked the company for the kind gesture.

As part of AngloGold Ashanti diversifying the economy in its host community, the mining giant in 2019 set a three-year socio-economic plan to make the economy vibrant in Adansi.
The mining company has donated items including, 8 tricycles, 8 flat screens led television, safety boots, machete, spraying machine, and others to the various district assembly within Adansi.
Mr. Emmanuel Baidoo, senior manager in charge of sustainability (AGA) presented the items to the various Assembly reps at the forecourt of the sustainability department. He said, the rationale behind the donation is to assist MMDAs in Adansi to reward farmers in the upcoming farmers day celebration.
Mr. Baidoo added that the company has put in place measures to make farming attractive to the youth for them not to be lured into illegal mining.
