AngloGold Ashanti climax Annual Quiz for schools in Obuasi
After the climax of the program, Obuasi Complex JHS emerged as the winner with 100 points while Kwabena Akwa M/A JHS polled 73.

Anglogold Ashanti Obuasi Mine on Thursday climaxed the 4 edition of its annual quiz organized for students in the Obuasi Municipal Assembly and Obuasi East District.
Soireenews correspondent Yaw Opoku, in an engagement with Mr Emmanuel Baidoo, the Sustainability Manager of AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi mine stressed that the objective for organising the quiz was to elevate the level of education within the Adansi.
He told that such events are meant to instil in students the values of knowledge, wisdom and compassion to make them smart citizens and it is part of their corporate responsibility to help define the genius in the various schools.
The Education Director for the Obuasi East District, Mr Kwabena Owusu Nketia commended AngloGold Ashanti for such a program before pleading for help in challenges confronting the Directorate.
The Schools that made the final of the event are the Obuasi Complex JHS in the Obuasi Municipal Assembly and Kwabena Akwa M/A JHS in the Obuasi East District.

Soireenews in an interview with Osei Celestina who was part of the Complex JHS school contestants said, they learn hard to emerge as winners therefore her colleagues should abide by the rules and regulations of their teachers to reach the highest position in life through education.
