Ambulance Driver shot in the head by robbers is dead
The driver was shot in the head after he failed to stop when he was transporting a woman in premature labour from Akuse government Hospital in the Lower Manya Krobo with the Yilo Krobo Ambulance to Eastern Regional Hospital for medical care.

The Ambulance Driver who was shot at the head by a gang of armed robbers on the Assesienso, Adukrom road has passed away at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital, Soireenews reports.
The deceased driver was in charge of Yilo Krobo Constituency Ambulance service and was conveying a pregnant woman from the Akuse government hospital due to non-availability of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Manya Krobo District of the Eastern region.
They were heading towards Koforidua general hospital after the patient in labour was referred to the Eastern Regional capital to receive medical care until he met the unfortunate incident which has led to his untimely death.
The incident took place on the said road before 2:00 am on Thursday, February 4, 2021, according to the police report.
The driver passed away after three days in admission at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital.
