Amasaman Family of murdered relative calls for justice for the deceased

Family Members Call for Justice as Ashalaja Oshipi was Shot Dead by Unknown Assailants.

Last Sunday 6th March around 11 pm at Akyiaman near three junctions a suburb of Amasaman in the Greater Accra region, Oshipi of Ashalaja Joshua Lartey age 42 was shot dead by unknown gangs on his way home.

On Monday, 7th March 2022 the police in a statement said,  they have arrested the wife of one  suspect Rashid Mohammed at Sowutoum and upon searching his house one G3 weapon,  three pump action guns, and one cup gun with ammunitions was retrieved

According to Police,  five other suspects are on the police wanted list. The suspects are Mohammed alias Gizzo, Brown Amoah Akwanor, Nii Obene, Ayitey Animle alias brother. 

Earlier today at Ashalaja, a family of the late Oshipi Lartey clashed with the family of one suspect who's on the police wanted list, Ayitey Animle alias Brother claiming their brother is innocent about the said killing so they're to pour libation to course those tagging their brother to the killing incident. 

With this, both factions clashed in a fight and it took the intervention of the police from Amasaman to bring calm in the area.

Seven persons have been arrested, one pistol with ammunition was also retrieved. 

Sister of the late Oshipi of Ashalaja Augustina Lartey wants the Police to speed up their investigations and efforts in arresting the five other suspects involved in the killing of his brother who is currently on the run. 

According to the sister of the late Oshipi, her brother had enemies and had on several occasions received death threats.

Speaking with Augustina Lartey while narrating how his brother died calls on the Police to speed up efforts in arresting the perpetrators of the crime.
