Alarm Blows Over Plan Of NPP To Register Minors In The Eastern Region During The Ongoings Limited Voters Registration Exercise 
THE NATIONAL Democratic Congress in the Eastern Region has raised the red flag over the secret attempts made by the top gurus of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to register thousands of minors during the ongoings Limited Voters Registration exercise in some constituencies of the Eastern Region to vote in their favour in the 2024 general elections.

According to the credible information available to Soireenews com, the NDC agents in some of the municipal and district offices of where the exercise were talking place in the region have informed the leadership of the NDC in the that the members of the ruling NPP have planned to register minors in these centres. 
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews. com, the Eastern Regional Secretary of the NDC, Gracias Jamal Konneh called on the leadership of the EC to mindful of the dubious move of the NPP to ensure credible, fair and transparent in the exercise.

Fuming with anger, Gracias Jamal Konneh vowed that "We will not tolerate the actions of some of the EC officials conniving with the NPP to register minors in the region.
"We will discipline any minor that allows himself or herself to be brought to the registration centres for  registration. 
"We will not even allow them to register for us to challenge them. A minor is a  minor, and you have no business going to the registration centre," he stressed.
Gracias Jamal Konneh warned that the registration centre is not 'Our Day' joint or Children's Park. Minors have no business going there. 
According to the NDC firebrand, the parents are advised not to allow their kids to be sent to the registration centres because it won't be in their interest.
"We are very peaceful and have always been peaceful. We will insist on the right thing to be done and make sure the laid down rules and regulations are observed. 
"We come in peace, but we won't sit down to be cheated,' Gracias Jamal Konneh added 
"The Regional Executive Committee wishes to thank all Constituency and Branch Executives and all party folks who, for the past two days, have been vigilant in policing the limited voters registration process," he concluded.
