Authorities of Akosombo International School the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region of Ghana have said the school will run a Shifting System to curb the spread of the Coronavirus

Akosombo International School in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region of Ghana has been in the news for over a week due to some students that contracted the deadliest Pandemic and the rate at which the figures increased within a week.

The Headmaster and the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) as well as the board of Akosombo International School (AIS) are planning to run the Shift system to curb the spread of the Corona Virus that popped up for the past week.

A visual arts student’s parent, who disclosed his identity as a teacher of the school opined that they were informed after school yesterday about the authority’s decision to start shifting classes from Next week Monday, which to him sounds great for the time been as we are not in normal times so such decisions must be embraced.

He stressed that the school has put many measures and advised the Ghana Health services to control the pandemic in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern region of Ghana include, maintenance of social distance, wearing of masks, and running of shift system which shall be morning and afternoon shift.

A series of meetings were ongoing during our visit to the school making it highly impossible to have the side of the headmaster in the person of Mr. Julius Kog-Der.

He continued that the school is a Coeducation with 8 boarding facilities hosting both genders.

Four buildings are dedicated to catering for boys and the other four are for girls with ages between 14 -18 years.

The information available to Soiree News 24 states (AIS) Covid-19 patients are still in isolation but could not disclose whether they are in the school premises or in a different isolation place but our checks also revealed protocols are well observed in the school with the help of Ministry of Health and the Covid-19 management team of

Ghana as well as Ghana Education Service for proper management of the outbreak of the deadliest Corona Virus in the school.
