Adjemako Police cry for help

The entire Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Police Command building is on a timebomb.

The building has been a death trap for the police personnel in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District.

The entire Ajumako Enyan Essiam District has only 29 Police Men serving over 700,000 population people living in the District.

In an interview with Central Regional Soireenews correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, the Chief Superintendent Stephen Tetteh revealed that all their building, which include their quarters and the station itself is in a deplorable state and need to be renovated immediately.

All their washrooms have been closed down due to their bad nature and have developed cracks on the building causing fear and panic to the police personnel in the area.

Again, the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District is having only 29 men which according to them is meagre.

"We sometimes had to ignore some operational duties due to inadequate policemen, our number is not enough  making it difficult to attend to all our hotspot area to fight Criminals"

"The Working Condition in the district is very terrible which need an immediate attention else Ghanaian will wake-up one day and will not hear good news from Ajumako District Police Command as our building is on timebomb"

We sometimes had to use our own pocket money to hire a vehicle to attend duties, which is not part of our responsibilities.

According to the Commander, Chief Superintendent Stephen Tetteh, the district has only one vehicle that makes their work difficult to patrol in the area.

They, therefore, calling on the Government, the Inspector General of Police and Non-Governmental Organizations to come and assist them to renovate their building.

The Police command again appealed to the Inspector General of Police to supply them with Policemen to make their work easier and faster.

Some police personnel expressed that, out of the 29 Police Men in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District, over 10 of them are on leave,7 are on the transfer list waiting for the post, and replacement takes much longer will affect their delivery.
