A lorry delivering humanitarian aid was hit by debris from a drone strike in Ethiopia's Tigray area on Sunday, injuring the driver, according to a World Food Programme spokesman who spoke to Reuters.

According to the spokeswoman, "flying debris from the strike injured a driver employed by WFP and caused minor damage to a WFP fleet truck."

According to Reuters, the lorry was transporting food to internally displaced persons in Tigray.

Getachew Reda, a spokesman for the rebel TPLF, called the incident "an appalling crime."
