Ahead of NPP Elections: Agona West NPP Coordinator Caged  For Fake Voters ID cards

Agona Swedru Police have picked one Eric Acquah, a teacher at Swedru Salvation Army School for allegedly issuing fake voters ID cards for some people who are not eligible to contest in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling stations elections started on Monday 28th March 2022 in Agona West.

Agona Swedru Police have picked one Eric Acquah, a teacher at Swedru Salvation Army School for allegedly issuing fake voters ID cards for some people who are not eligible to contest in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling stations elections started on Monday 28th March 2022 in Agona West. 

Following this development, the Soireenews. com, the Agona West elections were put on hold due to directives from the National party office. 

It was believed that the act was engineered by some suspended constituency executives in the constituency who are fighting their way back into the leadership of the party. 
Eric Acquah was arrested upon a complaint made to the police by one of the people who were issued the alleged fake ID cards. 

According to information, about 158 people were bused from the Agona West constituency to register from different constituencies during the 2020 voters registration exercise.
This was because they decided not to vote for the NPP candidate for the parliamentary election have now decided to come back to contest for the polling stations elections to satisfy their desire to vote for paymasters in the upcoming constituency elections. 
The prime suspect, Eric Acquah has been granted bail pending an investigation after the suspended constituency chairman, Kojo Addo and one George Kranteng signed for his sureties today at the Swede police station.
