Ahafo: female teacher arrested for soaking hand of a 9year old in hot water

The Police in Goaso in the Asunafo North Municipal Municipal the Ahafo Region have arrested a female teacher, Madam Hellen Serwaa for putting a 9-year-old girl's hand into the water leading to the destruction of the girl's hand.

The mother of the victim Madam Adwoa explained that her daughter was adopted by the husband of the suspect to sponsor her education and to also stay with the family.

According to the information gathered, the suspect claims that the victim has become stubborn living her life beyond the control of her immediate family hence in a way to curb the situation committed such an act against the girl.

The Ahafo Regional DOVSU coordinator ASP Mavis Perfect Kamassah also explained that suspect 8a is now in the grips of the police pending further investigations as to what led to the cause of the young girl's hand rotten.

She admitted that there are a lot of child abuse cases in the Ahafo Region and also took this opportunity to advise parents to report all forms of such cases concerning abuse cases on their children.
