Angry youth of Awutu have lamented on rapid retrogression of their community. They claim their community have been neglected in all areas of development and are therefore  appealing to the government to provide them with basic social amenities. 

The youth complained particularly about the absence of a good road network across the town, Joblessness, Sanitation, Health Centre, power extension, among others. 

Soireenews in an interview with some members of the Concerned Youth of Awutu Development, lamented that Awutu Bereku is a District Capital of Awutu Senya West but, no developmental projects has taking place for the past years, the town keeps on losing its value. 

According to them, criminal activities have also risen creating fear and panic in the community; robbery and assault on people. They're calling on the security agencies to beef up security. 

The Concern Youth of Awutu Development is calling on their DCE Joseph Aiddo as well as the MP and the government at large to as a matter of urgency come to their aid and curb the situation.

Moreover, the Assemblyman in the Awutu Bereku Electoral Area, Robert Odartey stressed that several letters and appeals have been made to the authorities, but their grievances have not been considered urgent.

Lastly, the District Chief Executive DCE for Awutu Senya West,Joseph Aiddo has also disclosed that the government is on its toes bringing massive development to the people of Awutu.

The DCE has therefore pledged to beef up security to fight criminals, do all within his power to bring development to the doorstep of every person In Awutu.
