Aggrieved Workers of Agenda 111 Protest Against Authorities Over PPEs and Good Working Conditions.

Some workers of Agenda 111 hospital initiative by the government have raised concerns over Personal Protective Equipment PPEs which are inadequate for the workers at their workplace.

According to them, they usually get into minor accidents in the course of work due to a lack of PPEs like helmets, Safety Boots and others to protect themselves.

According to them, the lack of PPEs caused the death of one worker last year which to them is hampering the flow of work at the site.

However, they're appealing to the foreign Contractors to provide them with PPEs and increase their salary support they said the contractors have promised to do.

They said this during a visit by the District Chief Executive Officer for Gomoa Central District in the Central Region, Honourable Benjamin Kojo Otoo paid a working visit to the site and some Government Projects in the District.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive Benjamin Kojo Otoo used the opportunity to address the challenges of the workers at agenda 111 in the District to interact with them as workers to see the progress of the work of the project.

He, however, appealed to the contractors to work hard and also provide the necessary equipment to the workers to help complete the work within the time frame.

And also advise the workers to desist from stealing items from the site and called on all the MMDCs to periodically pay a working visit to see the progress of activities in their District.
