Aggrieved Akyem Aboabo  Residents Chase Out Birim Central MCE Over Bad And Abandoned Road Projects
Thousands of people in Akyem Aboabo in the Birim Central Municipality of Eastern Region are boiling with anger at the Birim Central Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Madam Victoria Adu for failing to perform his duties and tasks entrusted into her hand by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The residents could not fathom why the MCE could sit unconcern for the gutters of the abandoned roads project in Akyem Aboabo would continue to inflict severe wounds on the chiedres and aged persons in the area.
Following this neglect, the people of Akyem Aboabo have threatened to stop every political campaign or rally by political parties in the country especially the New Political Party.
According aggrieved residents, the Akufo-Addo's led NPP government failed to continue their town roads which started two years ago but has been abandoned and posing danger to commuters and residents.
They lamented that, it is very embarrassing to have a whole Municipal Chief Executive for Birim Central Municipality as resident of Akyem Aboabo.
But yet see people especially children, old men and women falling into gutters being dug by the contractor and abandoned in the center of the town, hence the people through the leadership of “Akyem Aboabo Royals Association” have made a silver contribution to continue the construction of the abandoned gutters and also find ways and means to add bitumen.
The chairman of Akyem Aboabo Royals Association, Mr. Kojo Mensah Adakwa speaking to the media called on indigenes of Akyem Aboabo living in other parts of the country and abroad to come and support then to carry this rescuing mission project for their beloved community.
He stated that the Akyem Aboabo Royals Association in discussion with the people of Akyem Aboabo have decided to build a factory in the town therefore they should come and help as well.
