After an accident near Gomoa Assin on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region, the driver of a cement trailer perished on the spot, leaving his buddy and another in severe condition.

At the moment, the injured are being treated at the Apam Catholic Hospital.

According to reports, the trailer with the license plate GM 3587-21 was delivering cement from Cape Coast to Accra.

It slammed into a wrecked truck filled with scraps parked in the middle of the highway as it reached a part of the road.

D01 Nuamah has since issued a warning to drivers to place warning signs on the rear of their malfunctioning vehicles to inform oncoming motorists, hence reducing road accidents.

Meanwhile, the Apam Hospital's management claims that they are working tirelessly to save the two people's lives.
