Afrima 2023: Burna Boy and Asake win big

At the All Africa Music Awards (Afrima), which were held on Sunday in Dakar, Senegal, Nigerian afrobeat artist Burna Boy took home the Best Act in Africa honor.

He also received the Best Album of the Year honor.

Asake, a fellow Nigerian celebrity, earned Breakout Artist of the Year, and Didi B, an Ivorian singer, won Song of the Year.

Wizkid and Davido, two Afrobeats superstars, won the Best Act in West Africa and Best Male Act in African Inspirational Music awards, respectively.

Every year, the Afrima Awards are presented to honor the top music from the continent.
