National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Afigya Kwabre North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr Emmanuel Jackson Agumah, has indicated his readiness and commitment to prioritise the health care needs of his constituents and healthcars infrastructure when given the nod to win the parliamentary seat for the area in the 2024 general elections.
Mr Agumah who doubles as the President and Founder of BUVA Foundation pledged to prioritize the well-being of his constituents to prevent future health crises when elected the Member of Parliament in the area.
“I also want to encourage the beneficiaries of this program to take full advantage of the services provided, and beyond that, to continue practicing healthy habits in their daily lives. Let us prioritize our health, as it is the most valuable asset we have.”
“By providing these medical equipment and supplies to Tetrem Health Centre, we will help address immediate health needs and prevent future health crises in the constituency.
"We have seen that the healthcare is a fundamental human right. Yet, some Ghanaians, especially those in underserved and rural areas, struggle to access it. The BUVA Foundation and Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise is helping to change this, ensuring that everyone, no matter where they are or what their circumstances, can get the healthcare they need.”
He highlighted that proactive measures are essential for safeguarding the nation’s health.
“This call is for all individuals, organizations, and the private sector to get involved in this initiative—whether by volunteering, offering resources or simply spreading the word to those who need these services.
"Each of us has a role to play in ensuring that every Ghanaian has access to quality healthcare,” the NDC PC made this remark when he has donated medical equipment and supplies to Tetrem Health Centre.
The donation of the items is the fourth time Chief Agumah and Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise, together with his BUVA Foundation, have donated to Tetrem Health Centre.
The occasion was attended by the Chiefs and people of Tetrem including National Deputy Yourh Orgainser of the NDC, Madam Ruth Sedor, and party executives
Chief Agumah promised to help upgrade Tetrem Health Center into a Polyclinic but blamed Honourable Albert Kan Dapaa, his nephew Collins Adomako Mensah, the Member of Parliament
(MP) of the area and who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Energy for their family ruling the constituency since 1997.
"The Albert Kan-Dapaaa's family political ruling of the constituency since 1997 had made the area made the are under development. The Albert Kan-Dapaaa's family are ruling the constituency since 1997 and yet we don't have a single hospital rather CHPS Compounds and health Centres," the NDC PC noted.
