Tipa truck loaded with sand with number plate GT1926-15 crushes down woman selling plastic items beside the Afienya Mataheko road opposite Emef Police Station.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck failed its break and went through the woman's shop and knocked her down.
They added that there was also a company car ( Toyota Hiace) which was also crushed by the truck.

According to them, it took the help of the ambulance to pull out the truck from the private car.

They explained to the media.

The driver of the truck has been admitted to the Tema General Hospital for treatment.


The Dodowa divisional MTTD commander, ASP Awere William has said he was on duty at  Gbetsile when he heard of the accident and he came quickly together with the ambulance team to rescue the victims.

According to them, in the cost of rescuing the driver, they discovered a lifeless woman laying under the car.

He later advised all drivers to be very careful when driving and also to avoid their speed limits.

He also urged all car owners to always do maintenance on their cars before handing them to the drivers.

Nana Mintah Manor the operations officer for Tema Motorway Fire Station also said they had to pull out the tip truck from the Toyota Hiace with the help of their machines.


He also expressed his worry over the high-speed rate of some drivers.
