The youth in afforestation of Ghana is threatening that by the end of this week, if government fails to pay their allowances they will embark on a sit-down strike until they are paid.

In a strong-worded statement the affected workers laments that the government is owing them from July this year till date.

According to them, they are making a good impact on the growth of this country and the forest reserve.

"They also stated that if the government want the forest reserve to grow and maintain its Greening Ghana agenda, then the ministry of lands and natural resources should provide good working conditions for the youth in afforestation workers."

They also stated that they are giving the government up to close of this week to pay their allowance else they will commence strike on monday.
