Afenyo-Markin Empowers Dressmakers And Hairdressers With Sewing Machines And Hair Dryers At Tsiame In Volta Region
He reaffirmed his commitment and readiness to devise contingency measures to support the infrastructure to lift the face of the school in the Tsiame community together with the Member of the Parliament (MP) for Keta Constituency, Honourable Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey.

Minority Leader in Parliament who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency in the Central Region, Honourable Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, has stormed Tsiame, the captivating town in Keta Municipality of the Volta Region to extend his humanitarian support to women's groups in the area.
The minority leader's visit to his ancestral home town, Tsiame on Thursday April 17, 2025 was characterized by happiness, cheerfulness, and a sense of well-being.
The visit which is first in kind serves as a viable platform for the Effutu lawmaker who is a son of Volta Region to make a donation of some items including hair dryers and sawing machines to some women's groups at Tsiame, focusing at empowering them.
Addressing the gathering, Honourable Afenyo-Markin expressed his profound gratitude to chiefs and people including women's groups of Tsiame for the love they have showed to him during his visit to the area.
According to him, paying visit to the good people of Tsiame supplements his vision to empower the women in his ascentor community by supporting some women with some sewing machines and hair dryers to boost their skill training and vocational training.
This forms part of ongoing efforts by the Minority Leader to empower women in the skill acquisition craft/industry in his home town in the Volta and his constituency to stay productive and economically viable.
The affable MP said the donation was a continuation of a plan that is already in motion aimed at providing support packages to the women in his acstentor hometown who want to venture into apprenticeship.

Honourable Afenyo-Markin was quick to state categorically that "My intention to bring the need development to Tsiame enclave in the Volta Region is not to contest as an MP for Keta Constituency in the Volta Region.
"I would to make it claer that I'm still an MP for the good people of Effutu Constituency in the Central Region," the Minority Leader stated.
For his part, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr Kenneth Ashigbey urged the people of Tsiame in to stay away from partisan politics and seek for the development of the good people in the area.
"We need to move together as the citizens of Tsiame, Anyako, Atiavie, Asadame, Abor among others to help our government to succeed in developing the country to reset Ghana," he noted.
He stresed that the government alone cannot be able to bring the needed social and infrastructure developmental projects and programmes to the people in this country.
According to him, the success of the current government under President John Dramani Mahama depends generally on the citizens of Ghana.
He stated that as "one people we should not allow partisan politics to divide us, so today we are here together as people of Ghana coming to help."
