Advise Government To Revive Agriculture Students Loan Allowance -Kwadaso Agriculture College Students  Urge Agric Minister

The students of Kwadaso Agriculture College in the Ashanti Region have called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to revive their students' loan allowance and make it the same as the allowances that have been given to the students of the Nurses and Training Colleges in the country.

The President of the Students Representative Council (SRC) of Kwadaso Agriculture College president, Mr. Lambon Wisdom Yennuman made the call when he speaks on behalf of the students.

He spoke when the Minister of Agriculture, Dr.Owusu Afriya Akoto led a team to pay a visit to the campus of the Kwadaso Agriculture College to ascertain the various challenges facing the college.

In his welcome address, the SRC president of Kwadaso Agriculture College outlined to the sector Minister the challenges facing the students of the College.

He mentioned the revival of agriculture students' loan' allowance, the difficulty of getting posted after graduation and facility constraints of the college, and many others.

Mr. Yennuman, therefore pleaded with the government to enroll Agriculture students to teach Ghanian prisoners.

"We are pleading with the government to let the Agriculture students ch the prisoners the agriculture skills and knowledge for them to have the opportunity in agriculture and that they were released from the prison when they will get something to do in make living," he stressed.

Responding, Dr.Owusu Afriya Akoto indicated his outfit commitment and readiness to advise the central government to turn Kwadaso Agriculture  College into a university.
