The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has advised the former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama to confess the mistakes that led to his dethronement before revealing what he has in stock for Ghanaians when voted to power.

“I know you have been president before and is looking forward to contesting in the upcoming elections to win back the seat,” Otumfuo reflected.

“I advised you some time ago to make sure that what led to your defeat will not be repeated this time around. I told you personally that the people voted you out because of hunger.

"When you were presented as the flagbearer and you came to see me, I enquired from you that have you learned from yesterday’s lessons. Remember that Nana Akufo Addo wants to retain his seat and is on campaign preaching his good works to the people.

“You have revealed a few projects you embarked during your time as the president of Ghana and what you intend to do. Make sure you admit your mistakes to Ghanaians before revealing what is ahead.

"Do not abuse anyone with words. Just make your message distinct to the people. December 7 will decide and remember that it is God who crowns a king; He only knows every thought. I am ready to counsel both of you whenever the need arises.”

He scolded John Mahama for abandoning Manhyia when he was out of power and fueled him with guidance to pay regular visits with his contingents.

“You don’t need to be in power before you pay me a visit. Even when you are out of power, it is required to pay a courtesy call.
