As part of activities marking this year's Anti- Human Trafficking day, the Brong Ahafo Office of the ActionAid Ghana has celebrated the Anti-Human Trafficking Day in Sunyani with a call on all stakeholders to join hands in ending human trafficking in the country.

The theme for this year's celebration is "Use and Abuse of Technology".

Actionaid Ghana together with its partner group Activista as part of the celebrations held placards together to float through the principal street of Sunyani to create awareness of anti-human trafficking.

The Program Officer of ActionAid, Yaw Osei Boateng in an interview used the occasion to call upon all stakeholders in the country to collaborate effectively to end human trafficking in the country.

He also called on the government to create job opportunities for most of the youth so that they will not get themselves into human trafficking activities.

The Program Manager of Actionaid, Kwame Afram Denkyira stated that ActionAid together with the Narad project on modern slavery shows that human trafficking is going on in the country.

He stated that Cheifs (Nananom) and Religious leaders have a crucial role to play because most of the people who are doing human trafficking activities are all living in our communities hence they should all try to end the canker.

He called on the government to provide logistics to all the institutions that are responsible and working to end human trafficking in the country.
