Accident claims 3 life on  Obuasi- Kumasi road 

An eyewitness told Soireenews that whenever an accident occurs at Afoako Junction in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti region, instead of drivers offering a helping hand to victims, they demand money before taking care of the injured person's which worsens their conditions.

Three people are confirmed dead in a gory accident at Afoako Nkwanta in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti region.

The incident occurred on Friday, 16 July around 11 am and it has claimed 3 lives with multiple injured.

An eyewitness who confirmed the news to soiree news correspondent Yaw Opoku said, a Toyota Corolla taxi with a registration number GX 19 10-13 collided with a Toyota Tundra with a registration number AS 42 75-21 which was onboard from Kumasi to Obuasi.

The driver of the taxi and a passenger died instantly said the eyewitness. meanwhile, the tundra collided with two Toyota Obama vehicles onboard from Afoako Nkwanta to Obuasi, GT 12 78-17 which claim a life of an old woman in her 80s Maame Kobre, a parked vehicle and a car with a registration number AS 84 37 -14 respectfully.

Traders at Afoako Nkwanta are pleading with the government and the National Roads and Highway Authority to construct a speed ramp at the Afoako Nkwanta to curb road accidents at the junction, some added that more than 4 accident has occurred less than one month on that same spot which is a threat to their lives.

A woman who sells at the junction complained about the inhumane attitude of drivers at the spot during emergencies. She told that anytime an accident occurs in the area, instead of drivers offering a helping hand to victims, they demand money before taking care of the injured person's which worsens their conditions. 

Dr Adai Aboagyea, a medical doctor at the St Peter's Catholic hospital Jacobu confirmed to Soireenews Correspondent, Yaw Opoku that, five casualties and two fatalities have been received.

The Jacobu police who visited the scene confirmed that three people have died.
