A Member of Parliament denied Visa to Netherlands – Parliament intervened
Honourable Alhassan Suhuyini

The Member of Parliament, (MP) for Tamale North Constituency, Honourable Alhassan Suhuyini is alleged to have been denied an entry visa into the Netherlands for his involvement in a bill before the Ghanaian parliament seeking to illegalize activities of LGBTQI+ in Ghana.

It took the Legislative house to write officially to the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana on behalf of the MP to Grant him a visa to enable his travel.

The vociferous MP is one of the eight (8) Members of Parliament pushing a Private Member bill in parliament of Ghana to prohibit LGBTQI+ and its related activities in the country.

Many allude to the refusal of visas by the embassy to Hon Suhuyini as being involved in advocating and pushing for Parliament to pass the anti-LGBTQ bill.
