A 55-year-old Juju man, Mohammed Hardi has been arrested for allegedly killing his customer (Sakawa man) at Gurugu suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

A 55-year-old Juju man, Mohammed Hardi has been arrested for allegedly killing his customer (Sakawa man) at Gurugu suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

The suspect was arrested by the Tamale District Police yesterday via an intelligent report that the suspect had killed dumped the deceased, Asedia a 33-year-old Sierra Leonian National on a roadside.

According to the crime officer of Tamale District Police station DSP Omare Boakye, the police had a report at about 9 PM yesterday, 15 March 2021 that the suspect has killed someone in his room.

The Police patrol team however proceeded to the home of the suspect, Mohammed Hardi. A thorough search was conducted but the police did not see the body of the deceased.

The police however arrested the suspect and detained him.

DSP Omare Boakye narrated that later on the same night, about 10 pm, the police were called upon that someone had been killed and dumped on the roadside of Tamale – Nyankpala.

He said the patrol team was sent to the scene where they found Asedia “wearing only a green boxer pant, lying on his left-hand side dead.”

DSP Omare Boakye declared that the police interrogated the suspect (Mohammed Hardi) where he affirmed that he is a juju man, the deceased had come to him for ‘double money’ (sakawa) but he died after some short illness so he and a friend, Alfa Sakibu decided to bury the body on the roadside for the fear of being arrested.

The police, therefore, proceeded to the 2nd suspect’s (Alfa Sakibu) residents where it appeared that he had fled long ago.

The suspect according to the police has been detained to assist them on investigations but the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
