ECOWAS SUMMIT

Temporary closure of roads ahead of the extraordinary summit heads of state.

The Accra Regional Command announces for the information of the general public that there will be a temporary closure of some roads in Accra, ahead of the extraordinary summit of ECOWAS Heads of State on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

The following roads will be closed temporarily to motorists and opened immediately after the summit. The affected roads are:
Jubilee Lounge (KIA) to Liberation road at Opebia
Liberation road from Airport traffic light through the Independence avenue at National theater traffic light
Kempinski hotel to National theater to Independence avenue to Ako Adjei.

Motorists are required to take note of this arrangement and comply accordingly.

Meanwhile, the command has made it adequate for motor traffic Police officers to be detailed at vantage points to offer needed assistance to motorists.

The general public is encouraged to cooperate with the police to ensure effective traffic management during and after the period.
