80% Of Branch Executives Of NDC In Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Endorses William Adu-Oduro --For NDC Parliamentary Position

A 37-year-old William Adu-Oduro, an Cyber Security Expert and Information Teachonogy  (IT) Programmer, Ghanaian entrepreneur ,philanthropist and indigene of Brema Brakwa in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency of the Central Region, has being endorsed to contest National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries for the area by various delegates and members of the party.

The pieces documentary envidences gathered by this news outlet indicate that over 80% of the NDC branch executives have approved the Adu-Oduro's  candidature and urged him to pick the nomination forms to contest the race of the ticket of the NDC.

At every branch in the constituency, Adu-Oduro equally requested permission from the branch executives to go ahead and pick nominations when open nomination and they gladly given him.

There are no where in the branches was Adu-Oduro denied the opportunity and permission.

Mr. Adu-Oduro who doubles as a former polling station executive has begun winning endorsement of influential members and delegates of the party in the area, ahead of the NDC parliamentary primaries.

This was after Adu-Oduro toured 80 pet cent branches within the constituency to solicit support from the delegates and members of the NDC branches in the constitueny to contest the upcoming party’s parliamentary race.

However, all the branch executives of the NDC in the constituency have given the green light to Adu-Oduro to pick the nomination forms which would be opened in February 22, 2023 to contest the parliamentary race after they carefully listening to his visionary messages.

There are pieces of documentary envidences that majority of the branch executives of the NDC in the constituecy have pledged their unflinching support to Mr. Adu-Oduro and declared their readiness to work to get him elected as the next NDC Parliamentary candidate for the area to lead them in the 2024 general elections.

Some of the branch executives purportedly stated that they believe in the competence of Mr. Adu-Oduro to retain Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency parliamentary seat for the NDC from taking of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections, hence their massive endorsement of his parliamentary candidature to win the race in order to lead the NDC to win the seat.

While wishing him well, the NDC members reportedly hammered on the tramp card of Mr. Adu-Oduro as a new face with fresh ideas, with international and local connections.

Speaking in an interview with journalists, after touring the branches of the constituency, Mr Adu-Oduro who is the people's choice for the NDC parliamentary candidate thanked all the branch executives of the party in the area for taking their times to listen to his messages.

He further congratulated his team who accompanied him to visit the branches of the constitueny.

He assured members and supporters of the party to win the seat for the NDC in the 2024 general elections if the delegates and members of the NDC voted massively for him to win the NDC upcoming parliamentary primaries in the area.

The young Ghanaian entrepreneur is confident of defeating whoever contested him in the NDC parliamentary primaries for the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency

He noted that he sees himself as the most competent person among the aspirants to lead the party in the constituency into the 2024 election.

The young businessman said the constituency needed a person at the grassroots who understood the terrain of politics within the area.

According to him, empirical evidence on the ground suggested the party needed to present a new candidate to enable the party to retain the parliamentary seat in the upcoming election.

He believes it was time for a youthful candidate who was ready to work to change the fortunes of the constituency to be elected to champion his vision on education, health, youth and women empowerment.

He acknowledged the lack of development in the district which has been compounded by youth unemployment in the area.

Through his business experiences, Mr. Adu-Oduro expressed the hope to partner a number of international organisations to help transform the area for the benefit of the people as well as put the youth into apprenticeship and offer them start-up capital to enable them to set up their businesses.

He mentioned that he would come up with innovative ideas and interventions that would have direct impact on the lives of the constituents.

He said he was in the race as a strong force who could unify the divided front of the party to win the parliamentary seat and consolidate the victory in future elections.

He noted that although the NDC won both the Presidential and parliamentary votes in the constituency in 2020, the party suffered from skirt and blouse votes in the parliamentary results.

He stated that the party needed a candidate who was well connected in all the sectors of the economy saying he would contesting the election with the primary objective of helping to address the myriad of challenges confronting the constitueny if elected MP for the constituency.

His message is to tackle the poor state of roads in the area by lobbying for immediate government intervention to enable motorists and particularly farmers to cart their goods to market centres.

A 37-year-old business mogul expressed concern about the high youth unemployment in the area despite the government’s numerous job opportunities and pledged to roll out policies to address this pressing challenges facing the residents in the area.
