The Anyinam Police Command has found the 4-year-old Mohammed Mansur who was reported to have been kidnapped by an unidentified woman in Hijab on Monday.

The Anyinam Police Command of the Atiwa District of the Eastern Region has Officially said, the 4-year-old Mohammed Mansur who was announced missing has been found.

The 4-year-old Mohammed Mansur was reported to have been kidnapped by an unidentified woman in Hijab on Monday, midday after the boy had closed from school at Nkawkaw.

According to the Anyinam divisional headquarters of the Ghana Police Service, led by the District Commander of Atiwa District, ASP Daniel Wiafe, at about 9:30 pm yesterday March 23rd, 2021, a young man named Shaibu Subiru heard the cry of a young boy shouting, “I will go to Daddy” just about 50 metres close to the Anyinam Mends Kurom Zongo Mosque.

“Mansur was found when a passerby heard a baby crying on the street of Anyinam Mends Kurom Zongo Road, on the late Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, he is in a good condition, DSP Wiafe stated.

Anyinam Police Commander, DSP Daniel Wiafe speaking to media this afternoon 24th of March 2021 said, "we were aware of the abduction of the 4-year-old boy, Mohammed Mansur as soon as his picture was posted on the Eastern Regional police platform and the search begun as early as the formal complaint was lodged at Nkawkaw police station".

Subiru who spoke with the media reported that "we saw a woman far from the young boy around 9:30 pm last night 23rd of March 2021, and we taught she was the mother of the child but when we got close to Mohammed Mansur, the woman was not coming to the direction of the boy. The young boy could not answer any of the questions asked him, all his plea was I will go to mummy and daddy but suddenly when we tried to find the woman, she disappeared".
