4 State Institutions Receives new buildings from North Gonja DCE

The Chief Executive of North Gonja District of the Savannah Region, Hon. Adam Eliasu has handed over three office buildings to institutions and one accommodation space to the Ghana Police Service.

The other institutions include; the District Health Insurance Scheme, District Agriculture Department, the Ghana Enterprise Agency.

GHANA POLICE SERVICE

The two-bedroom accommodation space with ancillary facilities has been furnished and handed over to the police service in the District to be used by the Police Commander. This brings finality to the formal upgrade of the Daboya Police Post to a District Police Station Status.

THE GHANA ENTERPRISE AGENCY

The Ghana enterprise agency, formally known as the National Board for Small Scale Enterprise is part of the Ghana Government's efforts to reduce poverty and improve living conditions in the rural areas.

The development objective is to increase the number of Rural Medium and Small Enterprises that generate profit, growth, and employment opportunities.

Hon Adam Eliasu handed over a state of the art office space for the GEA to facilitate the delivery of their mandate in the District.

THE AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT

The North Gonja District is well endowed with rich arable lands, and so the major economic activities include Farming, Cattle Rearing, and Trading. Till now, the District Agric office used to perch in a temporal building but today has also been handed permanent one to help deal with challenges facing the sector in the District.

THE DISTRICT HEALTH INSURANCE

Residents of the District have relied on Damongo Municipal, Tolon District, and Tamale Metro for health insurance services. Hon Adam Eliasu's efforts at bringing relief to his have finally paid off as full time and permanent operations will start soon by rendering the services of health insurance for the people to access health care. The equally good news is that the Contractor for the Daboya District Hospital has reported to the site as part of the Government's agenda 111 blueprints for the health sector.

The facilities are expected to help push services in the District notch higher and better.
