A 34-Year Nafisah Mensah with four kids has been found dead in a toilet on Thursday morning, July 7, 2021.

The deceased was out of reach after four days of disappearance at the Christ the Shepherd Prayer Camp located at Opaikuma in the Awutu Senya East Municipality in the central region.

Narrating the incident to Soireenews, the Owner of the prayer camp, Most Rev. Comfort Ntiamoah said, Nafisah Mensah was mentally unstable and was brought to the prayer camp. She was treated and discharged yet preferred to stay in the camp for a while.

She added that Nafisah went missing on Saturday morning and several searches have been done but couldn't locate her whereabouts until a church member hinted that she heard Nafisah's mother, Madam Aisha informing someone on the phone that her daughter had threatened to kill herself because of her condition.

According to the phone call, the deceased decided to end her life by dumping herself into the toilet hence a follow-up. Her body was later found in the toilet.

Rev. Ntiamoah however blamed the Mother of the late Nafisah, Madam Aisha for not alerting them of the incident till the following morning.

Meanwhile, Awutu Senya East National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Director, Mr Kwame Amoah confirmed the incident but said, before the bodies can be removed, the entire toilet facility must be demolished.

He added that the mother who was taking care of the deceased will be handed over to the police for her refusal to inform the owner of the prayer camp and the police.

CID from the Kasoa police department was also at the scene to convey the deceased to the Winneba Trauma morgue.
