A 29-year Faisal Muniru has been stabbed to death by suspect Ziad Osman believed to be his friend in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region.
The deceased was stabbed with a jackknife in the chest on his way to report a complaint at the police station about his misunderstanding with the suspect.
Confirming the incident to Journalists, the Public Relations officer of the Upper West Region, Chief Inspector Gideon Ohene Boateng said: "An incident occurred at the Kajetia market between the two, the deceased was allegedly coming to report the case, the suspect, Zaid Osman attacked him on his way to report the case at Jamoyiri, a suburb of Wa".
According to him, the deceased was rushed to the Upper West Regional hospital but was pronounced dead shortly.
He said the body has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy and preservation.
He mentioned that the suspect who made an attempt to take cover has been arrested and is currently behind police cells for investigation.
He noted that the suspect has been charged with murder.
He, therefore, advised the public to avoid taking the laws into their hands, stating that the law will deal with the suspect diligently.
