Escape-thief from Asikuma Court rearrested

Kwame Nkum, 21 Year old unemployed, forcibly removed a handcuff from his hand and took to his heels but was arrested the next day at his new hideout by the Police.

Kwame Nkum, who escape from the police at Breman Asikuma district court in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of Central Region after being sentenced to 6 months imprisonment was rearrested yesterday at his hideout. 

According to the District police commander, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Odokoh Baah, Nkum, 21-years of old and unemployed was arrested at Breman Benin and took to the court for stealing robber carpet, door curtain and 2 plastic chairs.

After his judgement, he complained of been tight knotted by the handcuff on his hand and the police out of mercy did loosen it.

The convict forcibly removed the handcuff and hastily jumped over the window and disappeared

Later in the day, the police arrested him at his hideout in a nearby town.

Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Odokoh Baah said he will proceed to court again.
