2022 Budget Approval: Speaker Suspends sitting to Preside Over Full House
This is when the Majority Caucus of Parliament of Ghana's Parliament deserted sitting earlier for unknown reasons.
The Speaker of Ghana's Parliament has been forced to suspend sitting for 30 minutes after the Majority caucus "abandoned" the house for some hours.
Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin said the house needed to be suspended for 30 minutes in order to wait for the majority to join members for a full house.
This was when the deputy minority leader, Ahmed Ibrahim raised an issue on the floor of the house seeking reasons from the Speaker why the Majority is absent from the house.
The Speaker however has revealed he is even ignorant about the absence of the Majority members, and he also denied claims of his knowledge about any Majority Caucus meeting.
He has since suspended the house.
