Superintendent Stephen Tenkorang, the Bono Regional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) raises alarming concerns about the number of road accident deaths recorded in the first quarter of 2022 in the region.

He said, "it is highly discouraging to report that eleven people have died as a result of road accident in Sunyani alone for the same period".

According to him, the number of road accident deaths in the entire Bono Region is also estimated to be twenty (20) in the first three months of the year 2022.

Superintendent Tenkorang disclosed in a telephone interview with Soiree News Nana Anfreh Damanata.

He urged all drivers to manage and understand the speed limit at which they could move their vehicles in urban or populated areas.

He said it is stipulated by regulations regarding driving that, vehicles should move 50KM per hour in dense areas, but the same regulations are interpreted for drivers to reduce their speed to 30KM per hour in urban areas.
