16 die in accident at Akim Asafo
The police said the crash was caused by the wrongful overtaking of one of the drivers involved.

16 persons have reportedly died after two KIA Granbird buses they were travelling in collided at the Akim Asafo stretch of the Accra-Kumasi highway.
The passengers from both vehicles comprising 13 males and 3 females died on the spot.
The driver of Kia Granbird bus heading toward Kumasi attempted to overtake leading to head-on with another Kia Granbird bus which was coming from Kumasi.
Police said the 16 fatalities recorded from the crash, including the driver believed to be at fault, died on the spot.
Several other passengers also sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Suhum Government Hospital for treatment.
The deceased persons were removed from the scene and also sent to the Suhum Government Hospital mortuary for preservation, identification and autopsy.
