11 People were Confirmed Dead and 26 Injured After Ethic Clash in Bawku. 

According to the source gathered indicates that as of yesterday 9 people were confirmed dead, but today additional 5 people have been also been confirmed dead bringing the total number of deaths to 16 people.

At least 16 people have been confirmed dead whiles 26 people injured which 6 are in critical condition due to the ethics clashes between the Kusasi and Manprusis in Bawku Municipality of the Upper East Region.

According to the source gathered indicates that as of yesterday 9 people were confirmed dead, but today additional 5 people have been also been confirmed dead bringing the total number of deaths to 16 people. 

However, due to the volatile situation in the town, some residents are leaving Bawku Municipality for the sake of their lives to the nearby district and other towns for their security.

Speaking to the Upper East Regional Minister, Honourable  Stephen Yakubu said, the security agencies have been called to intervene in the situation and believe things will come down for the residents to enable them to go about their duties ahead of the Christmas festivities.
