Atletico Madrid’s season is over after they were dumped out of the Champions League with a late strike from Adams.

Simeone’s side were outclassed by the club team who were without their talisman, Timo Werner having abandoned the champions League continuity to have time to prepare following Chelsea’s transfer.

Before the game on Thursday night, Oblak was asked whether he has plans of leaving the Rojiblancos amid the numerous speculations linking him to Chelsea.

He was quick to put the question on hold and spoke of his focus on the Champions League game.

‘‘I’ll assess the season when the last game is over.

“Hopefully we’ll have three more games left to play. Then there will be time after that to talk. But first, Leipzig. I’m really looking forward to it,” Oblak told Spanish newspaper AS.

Frank Lampard is hoping to revive his goalkeeping territory after the frequent blunders caused by Kepa Arrizabalaga, which played a part in their nearly-loss of a champion’s league spot.

Oblak is contracted with Diego Simeone’s side until June 2023 and is worth £72.00m, ranked as one of the finest in the goalkeeping arena.
