Maurizio Sarri has defined his side challenge against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League opener as ‘an objective to win’.

Juventus will be visitors at the Wanda Metroplitano against the Los Rojiblancos tonight with Cristiano Ronaldo a key personnel to feature in the game. The former Madrid star has featured on the grounds of Atletico on 30 occasions. The Portuguese won 14, drew seven and lost eight. He scored 21 goals against Los Rojiblancos and provided eight assist.

“We are Juventus and, for us, the objective is always to win. We need to face these matches with absolute determination, but with weightlessness because we must also have fun.”

“Atletico are among the teams that can win the Champions League. With their characteristics, they can take on anyone," he added.

Juventus will be without Douglas Costa after he came off injured against Fiorentina over the weekend whiles Vrsaljko and Morata are injured and ruled out of the game for Atletico.

Speaking on Cristiano Ronaldo’s impact on Wednesday night, Simeone refused to rule out his influence in the game and the damage he has caused his team during his spell with Madrid.

“It's difficult to prepare something against a player; he's an animal in front of goal. He has an incredible record and in any situation near the box, he's dangerous. He's not easy to control, he has it all. We suffer and sometimes it's our turn to win, and other times we lose."
