Voters’ Registration: Ghana Police to Investigate Video of Officer Slapping Woman at Centre

The Ghana Police Service says it is currently investigating the incident that led to a police officer slapping a woman at a voters’ registration centre.

The Police Service in a post via Twitter said the investigations will wholesomely explore what ensued between the two. Adding that, the facts of the matter would be soon be provided to the public.

A viral video on social media captured a Police officer - yet to be identified - in a heated argument with a woman who was in a queue for the ongoing voters’ registration exercise.

It is still unclear what triggered the altercation between the two.

In the footage, the officer is seen slapping the woman.

Onlookers then intervened to separate the two, to deescalate the situation.
