Manchester United are pursuing Barcelona’s left-winger, Ansu Fati.

The English club have halted interest for Dortmund star, Jadon Sancho for the 17-year-old Guinea- Bissau international because the deal would be cheaper, the Daily Express reports.

United was in talks to activate the former Manchester City academy player’s £116m price valuation at Dortmund but his weekly wage seems to have cold interest after assessing the coronavirus ill-effect on club’s finances.

The Sporting Director of Dortmund told SportBild that they are losing patience with the 20-year old after his recent fine for getting his hair cut in his home, which is in breach of the German’s coronavirus restrictions.

“Jadon is not only an exceptional footballer who is noticeable on the pitch but now and then also outside of the pitch. Sometimes it’s not easy for us.

With Ansu Fati’s wage lesser to achieve by the Manchester club, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prefers to have the African on board than the BVB player.

United according to “Sport” have had their £89m bid rejected by the Catalan side and is expecting the Red Devils to increase their bid to the expected sum of the player.

Ansu Fati has a £151m release clause in his contract and Barca are still willing to increase it to £356m to ward off interest, promising their young star a place in the first team.

He has scored five goals in all competitions for Barcelona, four in the La Liga and one in the Champions League.
