UEFA CL: Kroos goal RELIEF Los Blancos in first Champions League Victory; Galatasaray 0 - 1 Real Madrid
Toni Kroos early goal gave Los Blancos the win after decent chances missed by both teams. Madrid are second in Group A .

Real Madrid has recorded their first win this season’s UEFA Champions League after setbacks against Paris St. Germain and Club Brugge in the two opening fixtures.
Zidane’s side won by a goal to nil against Galatasaray at the Turk Telecom Arena in Turkey to fill the second position of the table in Group A.
The game almost started with a Madrid goal but Galatasaray soon broke free of that early pressure and played in the right areas of the pitch to create multiple decent chances. Rodrygo found space down the right wing and chipped the ball in the box for Hazard who met it at the far post. The winger however snatched at the chance scuffing his shot wide.
Galatasaray also responded with a superb chance in the 10-minute. Andone delivered a wonderful through ball to Belhanda. He slipped between Ramos and Varane at the back as he had only Courtois to beat but the keeper pushed his hit out wide.
Kroos broke the deadlock in the 18-minute after Hazard made a good run down the left.
He caught the ball back to Benzema who missed it before it fell for Kroos. He side footed the ball into the back of the net virtue of a slight deflection.
Madrid dominated much of the possession after the goal yet Galatasaray somehow threatened their opponents' in the visitors attacking areas. Courtois made impressive saves to deny the home team a leveler whiles Sergio Ramos and Varane handled the heat of Babel and Andone.
Galatasaray switched to a 4-2-3-1 in the second half. Feghouli, on for Donk, was being deployed on the right wing with Babel on the left with both supporting Andone up front.

Eden Hazard was presented with a decent chance to double Madrid’s lead but he was denied by the goalkeeper. Benzema played in Hazard down the left but Madrid's No7 shot from a narrow angle was denied by Muslera who was well positioned at his near post.
Madrid started to enjoy themselves in the game.
Benzema poked Hazard into space and the Belgian rounded Muslera before shooting towards an unguarded net only to be denied by the bar. He was substituted for Vinícius Júnior in the 80-minute.
Nzonzi for Galatasaray leaped highest to meet a cross from the right but he could not quite keep his header down as the ball went wide.
