Transport operators have agreed to reduce transport fares by 10 percent

The reduction will take effect from August 1, 2020, the National Chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), Mr Kwame Kuma has said.

The decision follows pressure from the public, calling on operators to reduce transport fares after President Akufo-Addo eased COVID-19 induced restrictions on the sector.
