Ghanaian dancehall king, Shatta Wale has lauded the NPP government for understanding the need for secrecy on his recent outstanding achievement with Beyoncé.

He narrated how he was taken through a VVIP process where he remained incognito until he boarded his flight to go shoot the 'Already' music video, a song which was part of the Grammy Award winner’s ‘Black Is King’ visual album made up of songs from the ‘Lion King; The Gift’ album.

He applauded the management of Kotoka International Airport for aiding him to secretly travel to America for collaborating with the government to grant him an all-expense paid trip to the United States to meet Beyoncé.

"The time the call came in, it was so impromptu so I had to go alone. I had already contacted my team in the States and they were down for me [SIC],”

“This is the time that I’ll say kudos to the current government, not because of politics or anything. The airport understood that I said I wanted my trip to be kept secret and they worked that for me. Kudos to Kotoka and their boss who arranged that for me."

"I went through the airport and they took me through VVIP, went into my first class, and flew. It was them that paid for my expenses in and out, my hotel, food, and everything. That is how come no Ghanaian got to know about it,”

The Black is King visual album was released on Friday, June 31 on Disney Plus.
