The ingenuity of Kumawood - "The Jesus Effect"

Majority of producers and actors want to act Jesus and make the people see them as God's Son. They are Just false teachers

It started with the witchcraft scenario. The inventors really made a good approach towards it until the crooked minds faltered and thwarted the whole idea. Poor visual effects and unplanned scenes with no advised screenplay to support story lines. Within a twinkle of an eye, the idea submerged and the industry was found wanting.

Comic took over from a decent array of creativity. The combination of a decent dialogue blended with excitement was portrayed best on CDs, which warmed the heart of many whose love for the industry had grown cold. Its educative-embrace heightened the length of the industry and peaked its strength as Kumawood movies crossed boarders and feasted the Asante Twi languages into many homes abroad. Then the time bomb exploded. Comics fueled with insults and blasphemy took over and distracted the homes, it weakened the courteousness of the Asante culture and downgraded the value of the Twi language.

Finally, it was the turn of combat films. How in God’s name can an action movie be scripted, shot and edited within a month. It is only in Kumasi that these events were recorded. It took over the hearts of many yet the insults of producers and directors lack of imagination were the abuse of the day from consumers. It just did not work and portrayed Kumawood movies as a laughing stock to the mother Movie Industry.

The worms took over the food and consumed it to the latter. Technology transformed the scene and the market blocked the shoddy works of Kumasi Movies. Then actors got involved in Music and Television presentations, they migrated and snatched jobs from talented resources and infused their venom into the entertainment scene leaving well established graduates from the media school no jobs to hold.

They dictated the music scene and adulterated rhythms to suit their own design.

Ghanaian Local Movie Industry Collapsed Due To “Illiteracy”

Social media especially YouTube became the center of uploads as channels got torn apart in the name of poor projects. When hunger is at work, man will do anything for a living especially when it comes to the Showbiz Industry.

The “Jesus Factor” today has been the concern of late.

Created to embezzle the potency of Christianity, people have just bought into the idea and are loving the words of the inventor just because he is making fun and breathing laughs in people. Yes, many busybodies will tell you that after all its showbiz yet the total idea is indeed blasphemy and abuse in the highest order.

From the camp of the Kumasi Industry, they have thought once again that if Kyeiwaa’s witchcraft earned them much to feed their families and quench hunger, then the “Jesus Factor’ will go above that. Everybody is in costume acting as if he is Jesus and putting the respectfulness of the Gospel in disrepute. The ‘blind’ who knows nothing about Christ have received and applauded the idea appreciating the characters as genius and welcoming them in homes.

Respecting Divinity is different from associating with things that have no formal approach. Man is so eyeless to the extent of mocking God if indeed that will fetch him money.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”

The copycats spotted on social media are all Kumasi actors quenching their thirst with the ‘Jesus Effect’ displaying an unprofessional code of conduct.

Shooting the movie and not associating your dialogues to that of Christ is a different thing. After all such was life in those days but to discourse through the words in the Bible and turn it upside down is foul and insolence in the sight of God. It makes one a false teacher and prophet.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

The creativeness of the industry indeed is low and this sequential implementation is indeed an explanation of why God watched the downfall of the Kumawood Movies.

Let’s be careful not to make it a national agenda, it’s not about the Ghana Movie Industry, it is always about Kumawood and if there are no rules employed in the business of film making, the worst is yet to happen and only the fittest in Christ, will survive. Just say no to the “Jesus Factor”.
