Tammy Abraham has been approached by his homeland, Nigeria to play for them.

The Chelsea forward employed by Frank Lampard this season on the Blues front line ahead of Giroud has put up exceptional performance in their campaign. Tammy’s pace and power has seen him record four goals in the last two games for the Blues in the ongoing English Premier League.

Abraham made has Three Lions debut in a friendly win over Germany in November 2017, before he was featured against Brazil a week later. His decision to switch for the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria will be effective since he has not yet featured in any competitive match for the three Lions. He was born in England but is eligible to represent Nigeria through his family lineage.

With Nigeria in need of a forward after the retirement of Odion Ighalo in the just ended African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2019) in Egypt, Tammy’s presence is needful and his inclusion in Gernot Rohr squad will boost their chances in the AFCON 2021 and World Cup qualifying matches.

Tammy has told Nigeria that he will give them a final decision until April 2020.
