Nigerian artiste, Simi, has apologized to the Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community for her homophobic comments on her show, "Stoopid Sessions".

The artiste declared Homosexuality as unnatural and offensive to the normal nature of human beings. She was immediately bashed on all her social media platforms by her own fans who called her insensitive and just as 'stoopid' as the name of her show.

The artiste has now taken to her Twitter page to apologize for the comments she made. She tendered an unreserved apology over the comments and said she was sorry for any damage that it may have caused. 

"I carelessly and casually addressed an issue that is a matter of life and death for many. It was not my intention to you, but I did and I am sorry," she wrote on her social media page.

Simi made a reference to someone who almost got killed because of their association with the LGBT community and admitted that she now understands how dangerous homophobic comments can be.
