Ghanaian artiste, Shatta Wale, has reacted to the news that his song made it to the playlist of the former President of the United States of America, Barrack Obama.

The excited dancehall musician enthusiastically shared the amazing news on his Snapchat page and he expressed his delight about the event that only God could have to made it happen.

"am just happy for myself, be happy too and leave the rest for God…..They are wondering why their wishes didn’t come to pass, it was all because they didn’t want to see their brother win !!! Before you win you have to learn how to praise a winner.” he said.

Barrack Obama had previously revealed that he has been spending a lot of time with his family while also listening to good music in the process. He released his summer playlist ahead of his Wednesday keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention which featured the likes of Nigeria's Burna Boy alongside Shatta Wale.

“Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer –– including songs from some of the artists performing at this week’s @DemConvention. As always, it’s a mix of genres that travels through various eras. I think there’s something in here for everybody––hope you enjoy it.”

The playlist includes some hits from earlier this year, including Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage" remix featuring Beyoncé, the Chicks' "Gaslighter," and Haim's "The Steps," as well as older favorites like "These Arms of Mine" by Otis Redding and "Could You Be Loved" by Bob Marley and the Wailers. Other tracks include cuts from Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, and Billies Eilish and Holiday. (Also, Obama is apparently a Frank Ocean fan, as we all should be.)

In doing so, he made Shatta Wale the only Ghanaian to make it to his list.
