Dancehall god, Shatta Wale, has decided to shed more light on the Dr. UN scam.

A man identified as Dr. Kwame Owusu Fordjour aka Dr. UN who paraded himself as a representative of the United Nations (UN) presented some awards to top Ghanaian personalities including Sarkodie the weekend, Saturday, August 29, 2020, as fully explained here.

Shatta Wale stated that Kwame Owusu Fordjuor (Dr. UN) decided to humiliate Sarkodie and all the others because they had once betrayed him. He made this known in a video on a Facebook live video on Sunday, September 6.

He said that the personalities were lured into the scams because of their unreasonable desire for awards. Shatta Wale explained that Dr. UN had capitalized on the fact that the artistes had missed out on the VGMA awards and were eager to make up for their loss. Other celebrities who received the fake awards include D-Black, Berla Mundi, Nathaniel Attoh, and Johnnie Hughes.

"This guy is a musician, he has tried to feature some of these people, he has tried to meet them and gone for interviews but you people didn't give him the opportunity so he decided to pay you back...he said he will organize all those who betrayed him and disgrace you, people.. let's be careful, we like awards too much.."

"He cleverly told people to pay for the shipping of the award from China, so everybody paid Ghc1000, only D Black paid Ghc5000. That is where I have a problem, D Black, how many awards do you want?" He exclaimed

He claimed that D Black paid GHC 5,000 to Dr. UN for the award in the video cited by Zionfelix.net. According to him, it was that money DR UN used to rent the venue (Alisa Hotel) where the awards took place.

“All those who received the fake awards paid ¢1000. D Black alone paid ¢5000,” he said.

“The awards is the guy’s own scheme. He decided that if you have betrayed him before, this is the kind of situation he will bring to you. So he organized and give people a plate, fork, spoon.”

Owusu Fordjour also managed to scam the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Legon, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, with the award.
